This, the superior’s personal favorite, is a dark French roasted, full bodied, no-nonsense coffee comprised of the finest beans from five South American countries. This coffee is all roasted in a process that produces one of Seattle’s finest coffees. Low in acid.

Matuska and I were happily surprised at the delightful aroma and full flavor of the coffee. One of the best, if not the very best, of the other coffees we have tried from various companies over the years.
I could taste the quality of Monastery Blend Coffee at first sip. I prefer a lighter roast, so I wasn’t the biggest fan of drinking this coffee black; a little too strong for my liking. However, it made a wonderful espresso for my homemade almond milk latte :)

Abbot's Choice is just amazing. They claim low acid and it is definitely as described.
Smooth. Bold. Coffee.
This is hands-down one of the very best dark roasts I have ever had. The beans are beautiful to look at, smell and grind for brewing. While it steeps in the French Press, it smells absolutely wonderful.
I will be coming back for more but also will continue to wonder why I can't buy it locally. On that note, however, shipping was fast.
Thank you for such a great tasting coffee. Oh, and the Promised Blend is a great and lighter alternative for those who enjoy less bold coffees.
I can say with all honesty, this was one of the BEST coffees I've ever had. It was rich and bold, a LOVELY strong taste but not bitter. That's a hard find in the coffee world. I could almost drink it black.
The smell is fantastic (at least when ground at home. I only buy whole beans) and is a solid choice when it comes to taste. Nothing overly special (maybe I'm brewing wrong) but certainly nothing wrong! Combine that with the smell and it's a good chunk above average.
